Camino de Santiago

A personal journey, but you are never alone
A personal journey, but you are never alone

A short record of my two Camino walks in 2024: a few photos, a few documents, and the moments that have stayed with me.

The Camino de Santiago is a network of pilgrimage routes that all lead to Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain.[1]

The Final 114 km of the Camino Francés

My first Camino. I walked from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, 2–6 June 2024.

Things prepared for the journey

Getting ready

I laid everything out before leaving and kept the bag as light as I could.

The first people I met in Chamartín station

Chamartín Station

The first people I met on the way. The trip stopped feeling solitary very quickly.

A shopkeeper who looked like Linus

A small encounter

I still remember a shopkeeper who looked just like Linus.

A beautiful view one day before the journey

The day before

This was the view one day before the walk began.

The Fisterra and Muxía Way

My second walk ran from Santiago to Muxía and then to Fisterra, 1–6 September 2024. I kept the documents from that route.

Certificate from Muxía

Muxía certificate

I received this at the end of the walk to Muxía.

Certificate and pilgrim documents from Fisterra

Fisterra certificate

The certificate, stamps, and passport from the end of the route.
